About
Me
I'm
a Scientist working with Positron
Emission Tomography (PET) imaging in the MRC
Clinical Sciences Centre at Imperial
College in London (Imperial College is rated 4th in World for technology and biomedicine by The Times newspaper) I earned my PhD in Bioinformatics
and MS in Computing from London
Metropolitan University. I obtained my BPharma
from Jadavpur
University, Calcutta in 1999 (Jadavpur University is rated top 5 Indian university).
I've a post-graduate qualification in management from Northampton University, Uk and I'm a PRINCE2 certified practitioner. |

My
Research
My
research is focused on developing methodologies for
the quantitative use of multi-modality medical images
to examine the dynamic changes in selected functional
processes and to investigate the effectiveness of
new therapies in vivo (Drug Discovery). I'm also interested
in developing computational and statistical models/methods
for processing and analysing clinical data (Bioinformatics & Neuroinformatics), Computerised System Validation and Audit
including ICH GCP and 21 CFR part 11.

What
is PET?
Positron
Emission Tomography (PET) is a major diagnostic imaging
modality used predominantly in determining the presence
and severity of cancers, neurological conditions,
and cardiovascular disease. It is currently the most
effective way to check for cancer recurrences, and
it offers significant advantages over other forms
of imaging such as CT or MRI scans in detecting disease
in many patients. For details click
